section-mw is a research collaborative focusing on architecture, art and design.
section-mw is coordinated by James Way. He has worked for various architects and institutions, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum as an exhibition designer, the Chinati Foundation, Rafael Viñoly Architects as both designer and marketing coordinator, and as a designer at Simitch & Warke Architects and YBM.studio. He was previously assistant editor of the Architect's Newspaper in New York City and editor of the Cornell Journal of Architecture. He contributes to Tokyo Art Beat and the Architect's Newspaper. He has been a teaching associate at Cornell University and an invited lecturer and critic at Pratt, Cornell, and San Antonio College. He currently resides in Los Angeles and is an exhibition designer at the J. Paul Getty Museum.
+parasite, a collaborative installation group directed by Dwayne Bohuslav, has been a design research focus for over 15 years. This body of work has been installed at various sites in Texas and Mexico, including the River Pierce Foundation, Lawndale Art Center, and in San Antonio at Studio Gallo and Artpace. organ grinder, a large-scale site-specific installation and performance, was the centerpiece for the closing ceremonies of Sculpture 2000 in Houston. |
