A parasite lives on or within another organism from which it derives sustenance or protection without making compensation - a mosquito and human. Conversely, the symbiotic parasite lives with a dissimilar organism especially where it is advantageous to both - as with algae and fungus which together form lichen.

+parasite explores the constructed implications of its biological, societal, and noise-inducing origins through site-specific installation/performances. Probing characteristics of the parasite reveals strategies for exploring the ambiguous space at the conjunction of flesh and skeleton, of the internal and the external, of performance and architecture.

+parasite engages a host site to draw out it's own provision while simultaneously activating the space with physical and visual interventions. Detachable, lightweight, low–tech strategies target the host's inherent features for physical support and latent structures for conceptual sustenance. The prefix para– in the word parasite means on the side, next to, shifted; it is not on the thing, but on its relation. It is always mediate, never immediate.
